Greetings Allis Families,
We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to be a part of molding your child into a thriving young adult that is college, career or community ready! At Allis we have a keen commitment to building relationships with students and families that produces a partnership. We believe that students can transcend all barriers that life may cast in their paths with consistent guidance that focuses on the whole child.
We are still facing the remnants of one of the greatest barriers experienced in education , a pandemic. As we move forward it is with intentional focus on integrating your students academic experience with meeting their social emotional needs. Allis is undoubtedly one of the most uniquely diverse school communities in Madison and we aim to create spaces that our students feel comfortable, respected and acknowledged as their authentic selves. We do so with the goal that our students will continue to advocate and be the voice of those commonly unheard in future public spaces they occupy to create equality for all.
We are committed now, more than ever to create the conditions necessary for our students and families to overcome and thrive. Now is truly the time to increase the effectiveness of our partnerships for the success of our students. We want you to know that you can expect increased communication and feedback throughout this process that we aim to set as our new normal.
We thank you in advance for the work you are doing to provide a successful school experience for your students. We encourage you to join us virtually or in-person at Family Community Alliance meetings, ask your teacher about being a learning partner to provide us with communication feedback and newly established Affinity Groups. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions/concerns or simply to introduce yourself to me via email email@example.com. Again, we look forward to partnering with you and embarking on a triumphant year!
